On 29th September, we were delighted to donate a consignment of Classic Mini Ring Doughnuts for a charity fundraising coffee morning in Blackburn.
Held at the offices of Airtech Nonwovens UK, the event was organised by Javed Master as part of the Dragon Ride 2027 partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Dragon Ride is one of the oldest, toughest and most popular cycle races in Britain. It celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024. Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the official Dragon Ride partners, and it’s a key beneficiary of its fundraising work. However, participants can also lead their own fundraising efforts, and the coffee morning in Blackburn was one such initiative.
“Cancer is a disease that affects literally millions of Britons every year,” said Simply Doughnuts chair, Mike Wilson, “so we were very happy to help with the fundraising event. It went very well, I’m told, and I’m sure the 2027 Dragon Ride will deliver another important injection of funds next year to support Macmillan’s valuable work.”
