In August 2026, we received confirmation that Simply Doughnuts had been accepted to join the Food & Drink Exporters Association (FDEA), and is to be recognised as a Verified Exporter. The association describes itself as “the UK’s community for ambitious food & drink exporters” and its role is to help such companies to connect, learn and grow.
Our membership will help us to raise Simply Doughnuts’ profile, to access additional expertise in international trade, and to connect directly with more international buyers. It also comes with a listing for Simply Doughnuts on the Food Collaborative website.
Commenting on the move, managing director Shiraz Master said: “We already sell into the Republic of Ireland and a host of Gulf states, but the connections we’ll make through our new FDEA membership should allow us to accelerate our progress in other overseas markets.
“It’s likely to create a number of new opportunities. For example, it will help us to map the latest industry trends and innovations, it will enable us to make direct pitches to retail buyers, and it will present new opportunities to take part in important trade events. The most imminent of these is a two-day meet-the-buyer event in London, which should be of real interest.”
The FDEA as a whole has a stated ambition to boost UK food and drink exports to £35 billion by 2035, which would be equivalent to achieving £1bn of new sales every year.
